This animation shows the deformations and stresses for a turbine blade during spin-up.
The blade starts initially at 0 RPM . The angular velocity is then increased linearly over
2 seconds to 19000 RPM. The contours represent the normal stresses in the radial direction.
Deformations were amplified by a factor of 2 for visualization. No pressure or thermal loads were use in this calculation(hence the bending behaviour).
